Today I registered myself as a contestant for the 2007 La Marmotte Grand Trophee cycling contest in the French Alps. It's scheduled for saturday the 7th of July (07-07-07).

The route takes us through Isere, Savoie and the Alps, climbing over mythical passes such as the Glandon (1918m), le Telegraphe (1570m), le Galibier (2642m) and le Lautaret (2057m).
Last but not least: the famous 21 hairpins of the Alpe d'Huez (1880m) to the finish.
Pit Stops (who needs them): Valloire (@97 km) and Bourg d'Oisans (@161 km).
The total distance is 177 km and you have to climb 5000m.
Pick up of race numbers and last minute registrations
Wednesday at cycles PINSELLO in ST MARTIN LE VINOUX from 9h to 12h and from 14h to 17h.
Thursday and friday in l'ALPE d'HUEZ, Avenue du Rif Nel from 14h to 20h
Saturday at controlled start in BOURG d'OISANS.
